Takedown / Content removal
OutbreakWatch publishes summaries of public news, official health-authority statements, and prediction market data — always with a link back to the original source. If you believe a piece of content on this site:
- infringes your copyright,
- is factually incorrect,
- is outdated,
- or that you (or your organization) want it removed for any other reason,
we want to hear from you and we will respond promptly.
How to submit a request
Email takedown@outbreakwatch.net with:
- The exact URL on outbreakwatch.net of the page or item you want addressed.
- A short description of the issue (copyright, factual error, etc.).
- If a copyright claim: identification of the copyrighted work and proof of ownership/authorization.
- Your name and a contact email. (We do not require a postal address.)
What happens next
- Within 24 hours we acknowledge receipt.
- Within 72 hours we either remove/correct the item or explain why we believe the content is appropriately attributed and within fair-use / quotation rights.
- For obvious cases (broken citations, dead URLs, duplicates) we just remove without back-and-forth.
News aggregation philosophy
We publish:
- News headlines (a few words)
- 1-2 sentence summaries (paraphrased, not extracted)
- A link back to the original source
- For non-English sources: an AI-translated headline + summary, with the original kept visible
We do not republish full articles, images, or paywalled content. If your publication has a stricter content policy, let us know and we will adjust or remove.
Opt-out from indexing
If you operate a publication and want OutbreakWatch to stop fetching your RSS or referencing your articles altogether, email takedown@outbreakwatch.net and we will add your domain to our exclusion list.
